Mulligan-Typography-Post 1

Though the new Alice in Wonderland movie was disappointing, the typography they used for the title is very interesting and descriptive. It has a childlike feel to it but in a creepy sort of way, which is a good description of the movie. The way the letters are different sizes and how the shapes are somewhat jagged gives the feeling of unsettling disorder that the story emphasizes. Also, the way the letters stretch out in different directions makes them seem like they could be falling, or growing, like Alice herself. It is almost a classic Disney typeface that has been demented and when you see it you automatically are reminded of the feeling of the movie itself.
